Aiyoh if a police officer do not have sufficient knowledge of the law, how can he enforce it right? He would not know if the person had committed an offence or not meh and whether the person can be arrested for the offence or not. If later, you wrongfully arrest that person, he counter sue you for wrongful arrest like that how?

All police officers undergoes a 6 mth training in the Police Academy where he is taught the Laws of SG. If you are an IO, you would be more versed in it as you will have to decide based on evidence, statements, etc to charge the perosn under what section of the law.
