I would like to see this in a different way tough.

Kelly is more of a defensive player where GJ will provide more flair on the attacking wings (tough most of his crosses usually goes waywired) but he does cause more probs to opposition.

During Ytd's games he look quite lost at the other end if the pitch but did well behind alongside JC, Mayb once he got more confident, he may just dispatch GJ, but nt at the moment tough.

Look at the next 3 games. Away to Wigan. Away to stoke. Home to hammers then followed by big clash with spurs.

9 points is do-able. 12 points is a bonus. Anything less than 9 from 4 is a disaster imo.

Consistency.......Liverpool got great players.....but lacks consistency.

Hope againest wigan they will play like a team like they did againest chelsea.most of the time if gerrad dissappear and torres sulking.we are not going anywhere.hopefully they can turn it around next game n play with the same intensity again!

Kelly can also play on the left, which is our problem area. Someone has also suggested Kelly at rightback and Glen higher up like Gareth Bale, but this will mean Kuyt will be moved centrally.

Anyway Kuyt played more centrally didn't he against Chelsea with Raul M on the right? We did well with that so that might be an option with Glen on the right wing.

There is the 1st Team, then the Reserves, followed by the U18s.

Players step up into the 1st team from the Reserves, U18s step up into the Reserves. Very rarely does an U18 player go directly into the 1st team.

Pacheco is currently in the U18 squad so he have to get himself into the Reserves first in order to be picked for the 1st team.

Be patient with him, he will come through the ranks and have his day eventually.

Which doesn't answer the question right, bro? If Pacheco is good enough, and many of us think so, he should be in the first team regardless of the structure, which is meant to help players, not constrain them.

John McMahon has revealed Roy Hodgson's first-team plan for starlet Dani Pacheco.

The Spanish ace is regarded as one of the most talented youngsters in Europe after rising to prominence in a withdrawn striking role.

However, this season he has been deployed more regularly on the right-side of midfield, a switch that McMahon feels can boost the No.12's claims for more first-team involvement.

"He sees Dani filling those wide roles, so when he plays for the reserves he occupies those positions and learns to adapt and play in them.

Thanks for the info. I made a mistake on Pacheco being loaned out. I guess the last U18 player to move directly into the 1st team is Owen? Maybe Fowler before him too. Our problem seem to be that our U18 players do move onto the reserves but get sold before they can make it to the first team. Look at our Youth FA cup winning team. Our last local lad to make it as a professional is Warnock right? Anyone else after him?

pacheco has been a regular in reserve fixture since last season....

LW / LM & LB... look like these 2 young propects r playing in our "problematic" positions... hope to see more of them, thou mavinga might be left in cold after he spoke out agst RH abt foreign young players r not given a chance (imho it's true lor)...

You forgot captain marvel, Stevie G. Think Houllier threw him into the first team when Stevie was only 18.
