SG car, just make sure you have a photocopy of your car log card. Car must be in your name.
When you arrive Changlung, just stop at one of the park and ride. Buy 3rd party insurance, for week or month or year.
Passing M'sia CIQ is per normal. After Duty Free, you may need to show your passport, photocopy log card and maybe the car insurance.
Arrive Thai CIQ, turn left before the counters, there is a big car park. Park your car and go do the normal passport procedures.
Then go to the car lanes (last one where there will be a counter, CIQ officers hang around there too. This is just before the entrance to Danok) Present your photocopy log card, insurance and passport. (trick is to slip some 2 or 5 rm, it will be smooth) The lady will check that you are the driver and owner. (no compromise, unless you bother to make a letter of authority)
Then the lady will print out an import paper for your car to enter Thailand (anywhere). Hand it over the next window (same office) and sign on the import paper. Another CIQ officer will check and then he will ask you to go get your car.
Go and drive your car thru the car lanes, and stop at the last counter before entering, the CIQ officer will hand you the Import Paper.
Then you are ready to enter.
Departure, .......
drive your car to the last counter for departures. Stop at the last counter (you may have to just find a parking space) and hang over your import paper. You will need to sign your import paper and a on a book shown to you by the lady CIQ officer. Then you do your out processing.
Just a note, the car import paper is valid for per entry, your stay will only be 2 weeks.
