Just IMHO - apart from a few shops around the hotel and of course the hotel's own rather lackluster KTV etc, there's nothing much around it, and you will end up taxi-ing it for your "must-do" activities in Chang Ping.

On the other hand, If the 4 bedroom suite - which by the way I think is a good deal - is your priority, then there's really not much other choice

Got too many loose ends to tie up in Hong Kong and been running around like a plucked chicken. Wish, truly wish I can just drop everything right now and be up there but......!!! Sigh!!

On the other hand, CP is really losing a lot of its lustre for me and I've found myself, of late, heading up there less and less/have found myself distracted by other destinations/activities. I wonder if there are others who are equally getting to be more and more disillusioned by all the crap that's brewing there (and daily getting worse, IMHO.!)

But yes, I'll definitely try to meet you the next time you're up.

Apparently now other than SN, there is nothing much to do there anymore. . Esp with the rising costs..

LOL! Yes, it seems that a plethora of brand new Saunas - one more lavish than the last, continually offering more and more weird and wonderful services, trying to outdo each other etc - have been opening up in Chang Ping..... alongside a very noticeable decimation of such places in Zhuhai.

Seems like the powers-that-be wants to turn CP into THE Sex Centre of Southern China and have been encouraging the building up of all these luxe hotels, saunas etc and forcing 3rd rate players to catch up or....die! After all, such places, having been built for no small sums - should be easier to control and tax - officially as well as unofficially!!

So I see that costs and prices are gonna keep on sky-rocketing there, which is OK..... I guess.... since it IS still relatively cheap compared to other places in China and the region.

But the bad part is that this relentless price escalation have been accompanied by a corresponding deterioration of service levels and attitudes. If you read a few pages back (at some of our analysis of KTV girl earnings), you'll see that these girls really don't make the COMPARATIVE fortune that they used to earn when general work salaries were under a grand a month. It's now not unusual for a girl even working as a sales girl to make circa RMB 3,000 plus room and board, even in low cost standard of living places like Humen..and of course not having to sell their body (not in CP though, salary levels for general work is way lower here!). Probably more if in SZ or GZ etc.

Oh well....enjoy it all for as long as we can and .....!!

feedback on my recent trip.

went to hmtl, fuhao and yihao

hmtl, for brothers who die die want to try by all mean however I feel that the pricing of the gers there is ridiculous. if I remember correctly

if you notice the mid range of 600 cause 2500 over night and 800 cat should be 3500 accordingly. however the quality don't justify if we make comparison to say yihao. we ended up bring the 600 cat back. the 400 is super rare and frankly selection not so good. the 800 is not fantastic. even saw a grossly overweight in the cat because of heights. rooms are not fantastic, booked a 1500 room which is filled up with 2 guys and 6gers. super regret.

yihao will be definitely more worth the money. was there at 545. the models at 400/ 1500 and 500/2000 are times prettier and bustier than hmtl. only problem is before they go up the stage, they are more or less choosen. approached 5 gers all taken. damn sianz and you really got to beat the hongkie and taiwaness whom are much more aggressive than us. one look they ran up and snap up the models. end day all of us emerged losers. but worth the effort and the squeeze I guess. attitudes are good as well. regretted not pushing my way into the meeting rooms to choose first.

the rest are quite standard.
