I guess you have not been to HCMC yet. Cars not common? When i first went there in 2002, cars are not so common. After 2005, cars are everywhere. These few years, luxury cars are sighted often in HCMC too. new mercedes GL550, Mercedes S550 etc.

Actually cars in vietnam are not very much cheaper than Singapore. relative to Singapore pricing, they are around 20% to 30% cheaper. Its almost impossible to take loan for cars in HCMC due to their super high interest rates. Most who buy cars there are paying CASH, full CASH. So in terms of wealth, those in HCMC are actually more cash rich than normal singaporeans.

Honda Airblade is not he bring up one lah. Its me lah. Anyway, price went up quite a bit. Oh, forget to add vnd36mil was not at HCMC and that was almost 2 yrs ago.
