Just when back from CP after few days, Have been staying in a hotel in Swan Lake Road situation was very bad, i manage to ask my private driver to help me find one and they wouldn't dare to ON with you only fast meal, Paid 900RMB and got 1 girl who was working as a KTV girl before the raid. After 1 hour of average service like what you get when you bring a KTV girl out in singapore. On my second and third day i manage to found one pretty agent that get me MM's ON at 1100Rmb but not very pretty and good service i would say. Heard after March 1 some of the KTV will slowly start open Mayflower might be one of those first start. The Hotel i am staying only 8 rooms occupied out of 180 rooms.

First my apologies to some agents and anyone else I may offend with this post - but I've just gotten too many PM's, WeChat, whatsapp etc queries on this subject and think it best that I just reply publicly to everyone.

The question is if I think that the hotel room checks in Dongguan is over.

As far as I know, there are still checks on hotel rooms going on. In fact, how is one EVER going to be 100% sure that these room checks has stopped as the relevant laws allowing such action remains on the books. Please note that in China's statutes, hotel rooms are considered public spaces and thus the authorities have the legal right to full access.

It's only when they actually announce that the strike hard campaign is over or an official announcement like that made about apartments not subject to raids that one can be REASONABLY sure; please note my emphasis on reasonableness.

As far as assurances and guarantees that you will be totally protected etc - yes, probably in the past one can reasonably expect to have such guarantees. But unfortunately, one of the stated and foremost intention of this yanda is the crushing of all protective umbrellas; AND actual follow- up on this intention. The first strike was against the Crown prince whose owner is acknowledged to be THE strongest umbrella, plus officials purged lately had been from the highest echelons.

How can anybody now offer any guarantees under such circumstances? Note also that such offer is very much driven by commercial considerations on the part of the offeror - with nothing to stop him from high tailing it out if anything does happen.

I'd suggest that we are better off curtailing our carnal tendencies if in china or even just give it a total miss altogether until a clearer picture emerge here. And if you really do just need to still monger in china, that you do take all precautions. Rely more on your own wits and precautions first and foremost and discount any offers that's too good to be true.

A brief FR on CP

Was there for 2 nights.

There are a few things I notice during this trip.

I stay at YH this trip.

Was sitting at the lobby waiting for my friend the 1st, and I saw a couple came in to register. Here comes the serious part.

After the couple left for the lift behind, I saw a man stood up and all towards the front desk. Then he went into the front desk area and checking something. All these while the recept just let him check what he wants... Then he go to the side door and lift area to circle around. Then came back to sit at sofa.

This is not normal, if u ask me.

Also during night time, when my friend and his gal was walking thru the front door and walking towards the side door, the front recept run after my friend and keep asking him to register his gal if he going to bring the gal up... After my friend say they just going to the cha chan ting only she let them go...

It's very tense now.

Guys going pls be careful. If possible. Dun go.


Side note a bit.
Was in ZH for 3 nights. Check in hotel with gals, and the hotel dun insist to register the gals as well.

Everything looks fine there. If got KC, maybe can move to ZH to relax instate of getting caught with pants down in CP.. Enjoy guys.

You must be a rich cheongster. 900rmb for 快餐！Is your source concrete that MF is opening 1st march which is tomorrow? So far no sound no gas from cp yet to confirm this Ler.

As for MF, a manager working inside told me that their boss asks them to rest till around 15 march.

That's what I'm thinking also gA targeting the more famous hotels...
