An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

Good leaders with vision think long term and avoid short term
strategies that leads to intractable problems in the long term. Falling to do so shows a lack of depth, wisdom,
and leadership skills of those on top. We are not talking now about the benefit of hind sight but the application of foresight to avert severe problems that's will plague our nation in the long run.

Quick results does not last... and in all spheres shortsighted
approach was used to to get quick results. The shallow ideological approach and the
tendency to follow global trends almost blindly... George Yeo famously said they just have
to go with the flow. That really is not good leadership.

I will now cite examples to illustrate how short term quick results has lead to so many problems for Singapore

1. GDP growth by importing labor. Instead of
fostering productivity creativity and innovativeness
theysimply imported more pple to generate GDP growth
this shortsighted approach has led to countless problems ultimately resulting in

Decline in quality of life for most Singaporeans as overcrowding becomes a major issue.
This approach is not sustainable and will saturate the island to a point that land resource runs out or becomes to scarce

2. Modification of election scheme with GRC and upgrading pork barrel just to dominate the pple politically.
Instead of winning vote by formulating policies that's are right and just for the people's
to win their trust and support , ,the PAP uses upgrading dangled as a carrot to 'force'support
From the people. This disstorts the value system
of the people from thinking of right and wrong but focus them to vote based on nerd to upgrade.
This is not only morally wrong, it is illegal in many countries

3. Control of information and propaganda.
Instead of trusting the people, the pap tries to control them by feeding them
with one sided views and limiting their access to information through secrecy
laws. They do this to create an obedient,
