Weird neighbour encounter

Was in my lift going down today … Encountered my neighbour that came in on second floor , saw her a few times with her daughter previously…

Think she’s in her 40s, looks maybe 5/10 . I looked at her when she came into the lift and she looked back at me too .

As I was eating my bread in the lift , she asked me out of the blue - “ Is it very nice ?”

I just smiled to her and left without saying anything . Wondered what’s her intention in doing so ? Is she trying to be friendly ? Could she be feeling horny? Got any chance to up her ?

This is not weird at all, not even close. I think you will even get used to it if you ever live in the western world, especially with neighbors. People randomly strike up conversation about the weather, changing of seasosn, complimenting on your shoes, the color of your shirt,shoes, hair and whatever.

The only weird thing that I find is that you find it weird. lol.

She must have thought you were weird doing that and thus asked.

In all my time, I cannot recall someone eating bread in the lift, even work or office lifts.
