Romantic Dining Places

Hi all,

Need the advice of fellow samsters here.

Planning a birthday treat for my gf and wondering if there are brothers who have been to the following places. If yes, would like to seek your opinions.

1) Hill Bristo on Mount Faber (How is the atmposhere? How much does the food cost?)


2) Sky dining in cablecar (There is 2 package available. $68 and $138. On the menu, only the type of meat served in the main course differs. However, the price dfference is quite big. My guess is, the $68 package must be those with very cheapo and simple dining layout while the $138 package of course would have a grand table layout. Anyone went for the packages before? Need ur kind opinion)

Im also intending to bring her to a spa as she likes massages. But a search on the internet shows that most of the spas near town or those up makret spas like Spa Botanica, St Gregory, Aspara are all so expensive. My budget is less than $200. Im looking for maybe 1.5 hours session for couple. Best is those that have a short massage and after which we proceed to a "couple" room and soak in. Anyone has any recommendations? Hope the female samsters can help too.


Sorry if my budget is too low. Just started working and therefore cannot spend too much. Hope the brothers here can understand and can give some valuable information. Thanks in advance

i tink dinner at night safari also not bad, the atmosphere is nice too...

then another high budget place would be up at meritus mandrin, revolving restaurant =D

but the best place i would like would be my hse, where i prepare a candle lit dinner, normally end up in bed a complete ending to the nite

i think any place proper wld be fine lor....places like Prego lah...jack place at orchard... even Marche... personally i think it is quite nice place lor

the dinner in cable car sucks! u r just paying for the view... dun think it is worth it... better to go for an early dinner and den take the cable car ride... how abt sentosa? on the way back can take in the views on the cable car...

not to mention.. if any of you forgot to clear bladder before going, suddenly wanna to go toilet.. the trip is like one hour... that one you must have a very big bladder to control.....

theres this resturant opps novena church think its called vines or something nice atmosphere with candles. quite ok around $50 for 2 if u dun order steak. and how about pizza donata its ard 6th ave nice atmosphere too( but dun sit inside cuz their italian music suks) try their lobster spaggtii (spell wrong) its a set for 2 only $60.

Maybe you can try going to Safra Club think is at Tampines. I been ther before is quite a nice place where you can have dinner facing the sea.

Romantic or not, thru enviroment play a part but I feel 90% still depend on how u conduct urself.
Due to budget, I suggest u try out Cosy Bay, it is at Tg Rhu Rd all the way in.

If u are coming in from Indoor Stadium side, there is a bridge to cross over to PebbleBay Condo.

Dinning at the Cosy Bay Tower could be quite romantic too. That side is all alacart order, not expensive at all.

Hmm, thanks for the wonderful advice.

1) I think I will rule out cablecar. Have a feeling that its going to suck. And my gf is prone to motion sickness.

2) Dinner places Im thinking of are hill bristo, Tampines Safra (suggested by our bro here), Night Safari (suggested by our bro here) and maybe the restaurent in Botanical garden? Any more places to suggest?

3) As for the spa thingy, I already decided to let her have some face and body treatment. Not so Expensive. Less than $100 can le. I ruled out the couple package coz almost every spa I visited today cost $200 at least. Let her enjoy the treatment lor. I sit outside read newspaper

4) No need hotel lah...we live together mah. I just want to make it different for us that day.

5) Initial plan is, as soon as she touches down in Sg, send her back to home and put down her luggage. (will buy flowers to welcome her at airport) Then immediately go for spa treatment. Then come back home again, let her shower, make up and wear something nice (She promised to wear something sexy and nice for that evening). Then go and collect cake (A birthday must have a cake mah) Bring her to dinner at somewhere romantic (Haven decide where) Then after dinner, bring her to a secret dark place and cut/eat cake. After that slowly seduce her there. Hehe. She knew what im up to and is game for it by promising to wear something ncie and short. Hehe.


So, Im still deciding on the place to makan. I know the Hill Bristo night view is very good. But I wanna know how much does the dinner there cost for 2. any brother went there before? OR how about any nice restaurent in Sentosa? After dinner can go to the beach there action abit. Hehe.

Yeah, the night view there not bad too. How much does it cost (estimate?) And is it western crusine?

Might have to downgrade to Tui na @$30/- (Can check with Bro Aikon), follow by dinner at Cosy Bay. I assure u still have budget for one stay at Hotel 81

Not quite sure what they have now, cos quite some time never go down already. But I doubt they have course dinner. Within $100 should be able to have something nice and decent. As i say before it all depend on u.

1) Flowers - $40 (Decided)
2) Spa for her only - $68 (Decided)
3) Cake - $30 (Decided)
4) Dinner Budget $80

Total $218.

So, dinner $80 can go where arh? Cosy bay enuff? Cruisine there is western?
