SURVEY: PRIOR SEXUAL EXPERIENCE IS A DESIRED QUALITY OF 1 IN 2 SINGLES
Post date:
16 Feb 2014 - 9:27am

These days as society becomes more open and people are becoming less conservative sexually, it appears that many singles would rather their partners have had prior sexual experience.

In a survey of 572 singles conducted by online dating service eSynchrony, 1 in 2 singles preferred for their partner to not be a virgin.

Half of them also wanted to move in together before getting married.

While Singapore society might tend to be more conservative, it appears that more and more singles have open ideas about sex and marriage.

On the other hand, the data itself may not reflect the views of the whole of Singapore society as the survey was conducted by an online dating agency.

For those more conservative people, they may not even join such online dating sites and so the sample size could be skewed toward the more open-minded members of society.

Another finding of the survey was that singles tend to want to know their partner's or potential partner's views on long-term issues such as marriage, children and sex.

The dating agency said that it can use this data to enhance its matching software to ensure that couples are compatible on the big, long-term issues on top of just the superficial aspects such as looks.
