Lawrence Wong said on Friday that Singaporeans need to come up with solution if Singapore is to continue moving forward.
He explained that the government will be supporting and encouraging progress but Singaporeans must also believe that the country is worth striving for and they must be actively involved in finding solutions.
He was speaking at the 10th anniversary conference of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy where two new books were being launched.
Mr Wong said that the world now is very competitive and we need fresh ideas to improve.
He explained that we have not reached our limit of potential and Singaporeans must innovate to stay ahead of the curve.
