Girl, 12, witnesses murder of mother and sister, 4 in China

The brutal murders took place in front of the woman's 12-year-old daughter. The woman's husband, Mr Yang Zhang Lin, said his wife and two daughters had just returned from a family outing and that they were waiting for him to pick them up when the incident happened. "My wife called and told me that she and the kids were on the bus and that it was arriving at the bus stop. She asked me to come meet them at the village entrance," said the 37-year-old man. "When I arrived, I discovered her and my young daughter lying in a pool of blood." He added that his older daughter was standing at one side looking dazed. Multiple stab wounds The incident happened around 7.40pm on Saturday (May 2). The 33-year-old woman and the girl had multiple stab wounds in the chest and abdomen, reported Sina. They died of their injuries. Mr Yang said his daughter told him that the man pulled up beside them in a van after they had alighted from the bus. He and Mrs Yang started quarrelling. After a short exchange, the man pulled out a knife and stabbed Mrs Yang a few times. The girl said she and her younger sister starting fleeing towards their home. But after running a few steps, the younger sister was caught by the man and stabbed a few times. Rejected his romantic advances Mr Yang said his wife got to know the attacker, 30-year-old Zhang Zhen Yu, three years ago while working part time. At that time, Zhang tried pursuing his wife even though he knew she was married. His wife turned Zhang down many times. Said Mr Yang: "I met with him as well and told him clearly that my wife would never run off with him. Mr Yang said his older daughter has not said much since the incident.
