Multiple explosions and fire at Jurong destroyed 8 Heavy Vehicles

More than 10 explosions were heard in a huge fire at a truck repair shop in Jurong this morning 12.56am (July 12) destroyed 8 heavy vehicles. The truck repair shop is located at Jurong Jalan Papan and a witness who resides from across the road at Yuen Ching Road said that he heard more than 10 explosions from his house.

80 Singapore Civil Defence Force firefighters were deployed and they spent two hours to extinguish the fire. The estimated losses range around S$400,000 with heavy vehicles like trucks, excavators and cement mixer vehicles been badly burned. There is no injuries or deaths and the Singapore Police is investigating the cause of the fire and not ruling out foul play.
