Should I get tested for HIV?

Hi Bros,

I visited FL about 10 times 5 years ago with condoms. I have never got tested for HIV since then. I think if I had been infected, it would have showed some symptoms, e.g. you can get sick easily since the immune system is weaker.

I'm healthy for the past year, never got sick. Based on the fact, should I get tested for HIV after 5 years?

Worry and fear are worst mental torture is in life.
Go for the HIV test and get over with it.

If free from HIV, Heng Ah! Don't cheong any more.

you just need to go to some clinics, they have the enhanced HIV test kit which can detect few days exposure, about sgd80 if i am not wrong, drip some blood and wait 20 minutes for results

I think that clinic along lorong 22, Anteh clinic, should have

no need to worry. better go check if you are worried

according to the doctor. there is this enhance set which can test for very recent exposure up to a week if i did not remember wrongly

If you are worried, just go and check. HIV normally do not have any symptoms, especially for the young or middle age. Even some have shown symptoms which are very similar to normal flu. Moreover, different people may have different symptoms depending on the disease you have exposed to. Because since HIV does not kill u, it kills your immune sys only.

Recommend to go to DSC and do a quick test. If 5 years ago, the result will be very accurate. If I remember correctly, it is S$40. A medical test is the only way to know whether you have or not.

If used condom properly, the chance is you are clean. But do check for other STDs that can be transmitted through contact or fluid exposure if you like BJ or licking. Most of them are treatable.

Everything has consequence, if you choose to have a good time in Geylang, you bear the risk of getting an infection. For regulars, it is recommended to do checkup every half year.

Condom protect her from catching HIV from you.
You can still get HIV if have broken skin that have contact with her body fluid.

I pop into my usual clinic at Tanjong Pagar Plaza and the doc did a finger prick blood test call 4th generation HIV P24 Antigen/Antibody Combo Test conclusive at 28 days post exposure.

for 80 bucks, results out in 20 minutes. cool. He said most clinics that do STD check should have this.
